Last updated: 2025-09-15
Port & Parlor curates rail-first destinations. We may offer advisory/itinerary-planning services from time to time. We do not sell trips, provide booking services or act as a tour operator; any booking you make is concluded directly with third parties.
1. Scope & purpose
- These terms govern use of the website and the information provided.
- Editorial/curated content; no travel contract is concluded with Port & Parlor. Any advisory/planning we may offer constitutes services and, by itself, does not create a package travel contract within the meaning of the EU Package Travel Directive (EU) 2015/2302. Unless expressly stated, we act neither as tour operator nor as intermediary; if we exceptionally arrange or procure services on your behalf, additional terms will apply and be provided beforehand.
2. Non-binding information
- Times, walking distances, seasons and prices are indicative and may change.
- Always verify with official sources (timetables, opening hours, closures, local guidance).
3. External links & third parties
- Linked third parties are solely responsible for their content, pricing, availability and bookings.
- Any booking is governed by the third party’s terms; Port & Parlor is not a party to such transactions.
- We may use affiliate links and receive a commission at no additional cost to you.
4. Community submissions (photos/places)
- By submitting, you grant Port & Parlor a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, adapt (e.g. crop/optimise) and promote your content in connection with the service (including on our social channels).
- You represent you hold the necessary rights and do not infringe third-party rights.
- Credit where reasonably feasible. We may remove or adjust content upon justified request.
5. PRO account & payment (Stripe)
- Monthly/annual plan with auto-renewal until cancelled.
- Cancel anytime with effect at the end of the current period; no pro-rata refund for started periods unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
- EU consumers: 14-day withdrawal right; waived if immediate digital access is requested.
- Price changes apply from the next renewal after prior notice. VAT where applicable.
6. Availability, maintenance, outages
- High availability targeted; short maintenance windows may occur.
- If a continuous outage exceeds 48h within a paid period (excluding force majeure/third-party network issues), we will offer an extension or a pro-rata refund.
- Formula: period amount × (outage days / period days).
7. Intellectual property
- Texts, layout and media are protected by copyright. Any use beyond statutory exceptions requires prior consent.
- Image credits: unless stated otherwise, images and graphics are sourced from Pixabay, Vecteezy, or produced by Port & Parlor (original photography).

- You remain responsible for safety (weather, terrain, fitness, local rules).
9. Changes
- We may update content, features and these terms at any time.
10. Governing law, jurisdiction, language, ODR
- Governing law: French law (excluding conflict-of-laws rules).
- Jurisdiction: for businesses/non-consumers exclusively Paris. EU consumers may bring claims in their country of residence or in Paris. We will only sue consumers in their state of residence.
- Language: the French version prevails; translations are for convenience.
